Workplace Policies and Policy Manuals (a.k.a. Employee Handbooks) are an HR essential for every business - big and small. A workplace policy is a document that outlines an employer's general policies and procedures. It is not employee-specific; one document will uniformly govern all of your employees. 
For employees, a policy manual communicates the employer's expectations, answers FAQs and serves as an important resource guide. For employers, a policy manual facilitates organizational consistency, conveys the desired workplace culture, and can serve as a legally-binding extension of the employment agreement. 

TYPICAL WORKPLACE POLICIES

​At Okanagan Small Business Services, we draft both individual policies and entire policy manuals to suit your business's unique needs. For policy manuals, you can pick and choose which sections are applicable to your business and we can customize what each section says. You may also have some of your own ideas about what you would like to have stated in your policy manual, and we can ensure your ideas are worded professionally (and lawfully). All contents and terms must be in compliance with employment legislation, including the BC Employment Standards Act, the BC Human Rights Code, and the BC Personal Information Protection Act.

OUR FEES

INDIVIDUAL WORKPLACE POLICIES: Starting at $150 per policy
Individual policy drafting is charged on an hourly basis ($150 per hour). Most policies can be drafted in one hours time, but complex or lengthy policies will take longer. 

POLICY MANUALS: Starting at $995
Our starting rate includes a standard 10-policy manual in two downloadable formats (Word & PDF). You select the policies your workplace needs and customize each policy. Our policy manuals come with two complimentary forms to help you enforce your policies in your workplace: 
  • Acknowledgment of Receipt Form 
  • Confirmation of Understanding & Intention to Abide-By Form

PAYMENT INFO

For Individual Policies: Payment in full must be made to secure consultation meeting appointment. 

For Policy Manuals: A deposit of $150 must be paid to secure consultation meeting appointment, with remainder of payment due prior to document delivery.

We accept payment via e-transfer or check. All rates are subject to applicable taxes.
